A 2 Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers ii R.G.A. Aged 35. He entered C> the Artillery in Nov., 1899. ^5 becoming capt. in May. 1907, and maj. in Mar. last. Son of i Capt. W. W. Smythe, R.N. i iH.M. destroyer, Milne.” He died of pneumonia contracted whilst in command of the Milne at Shotley Hospital in November last. Before tak- ing command of the “Milne he served in the battleship, King Edward VII.” li48th Pioneers. Aged 45. He entered 2 the Lincolnshire Regt, in 1890, trans- 2 ferring to the Indian Army in 1892. He 2 became major in 1908.
